Terra Nova Compost Cooperative offers the following services:

  • Compost Education— Terra Nova offers a range of educational programs related to small to medium scale composting. Collectively Terra Nova has been composting and teaching others how to compost for nearly four decades. We offer 1/2 day and full day workshops at your site or one of ours. We also frequently partner with agriculture-focused organizations in need of our composting expertise on short and long term projects and training programs.
  • Compost Consultation Services Compost consultation at your location, including installation and ongoing management of on-site composting systems.
  • Farm to School Programs/School Garden Education The Terra Nova team is comprised of visionary educators who value experiential learning, storytelling, and art. Terra Nova has developed garden-based deep ecology curriculum for elementary through high school aged students.
  • Farm/Garden Consultation Terra Nova will assess your site, ascertain your needs and desired outcomes, and suggest a plan for your residential, community, or commercial site.
  • International Agriculture Training and Education Programming The Terra Nova team has led composting and agriculture training programs internationally, is multi-lingual and has extensive experience working domestically and abroad with limited resources and limited or absent infrastructure.

Terra Nova Compost is co-located in New York, New York and Atlanta, Georgia. We have also worked across the U.S. and in Puerto Rico, Uganda, Guinea, Egypt, Sierra Leone, Haiti, and the Philippines.

  1. Interested in potential consult. We have a 7 acre property with one acre planted vegetable garden, 3 goats, 2 sheep, 12 chickens. Seems like we should be able to compost but would like some guidance.
